Dr Singh is currently working as a faculty at the Government Medical College and Hospital in Chandigarh, India. His professional journey began with an MBBS degree from Government Medical College, Amritsar, between August 2001 and December 2006. Following his graduation, he served as a rural medical officer and later pursued a specialization in pharmacology. He completed MD Pharmacology at Government Medical College, Patiala, from June 2009 to July 2012. After working as a senior resident doctor at PGIMER, Chandigarh for about 10 months, he earned his DM in Clinical Pharmacology from AIIMS, New Delhi, from July 2013 to June 2016. With over a decade of post-MD experience, he has significantly contributed to teaching and research in pharmacology. He is a trained teacher in the Competency-Based Medical Education (CBME) curriculum and has contributed in national initiatives, such as National Formulary of India. He has published many articles in reputed national/international journals and presented his research work at leading national and international conferences. His key research areas include drug use in type 2 diabetes mellitus, statins, and other clinical pharmacology related aspects. He has mentored many medical undergraduates in clinical research, with a few of them publishing articles and presenting their research work at prestigious international conferences. He is actively involved in peer review and serve as an editorial board member of reputed journals. During the COVID-19 pandemic, he was actively involved in COVID care at his institution. He has also served on various committees within his institute and currently involved in Randomized Controlled Trials (RCTs) and other research studies, systematic reviews and expert reviews etc. He is also a member of various national and international pharmacology bodies.
